Font Workshop

Draw your Characters

  1. Choose the thin pen or the thick pen.

  2. Use the template to draw the letterforms, making sure you draw over the letter (character) in the assigned section.

  3. Name your font and write it on the template.
Make sure the font name is on the template before you photograph.

  4. (Using your phone camera) Photograph each section separately—make sure the corner markers  are included in each photo.

  5. Upload your photos

The Instructor will use Calligraphr to create a font using your drawings.

Download Font File

  1. To load the font on your computer, follow instructions provided.

  2. Loading a custom font on a mobile device requires a paid app that manages fonts. There are several to choose from, but they all cost money. Search for “Font Manager” in your App Store.
