Finding an Internship

The Marietta College Career Center is an amazing resource to help students find valuable opportunities like internships, as well as jobs.

Internships for Credit

Students who would like to earn college credit for their internship must complete the following steps:

Before you start working

  1. Submit Internship Employment Proposal Form to work supervisor for completion

  2. Email completed Internship Employment Proposal Form to Internship Coordinator

  3. Complete Academic Internship Registration Form
    You MUST submit this form before the internship start date, or you WON’T receive credit.

    • GRPH 397

    • 1 credit (40 hours)

    • 2 credits (80 hours)

    • 3 credits (120 hours)

    • Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory

  4. Email completed Academic Internship Registration Form to records@marietta.edu and the Internship Coordinator


    During the Internship

  5. Track your time using the Internship Time Tracking Form (spreadsheet) to document the hours you have completed during your internship.


    At Completion of the Internship

  6. Have your Workplace Supervisor:

    • Complete the Final Performance Evaluation

    • Sign your Internship Time Tracking Form

  7. Complete the Reflection Report

  8. Submit all these documents to the Internship coordinator:

    • Final Performance Evaluation

    • Internship Time Tracking Form

    • Reflection Report

  9. Grading: Once the Internship Supervisor receives these documents, they can submit your final grade and you can receive credit.
